Position Overview

As luck would have it, the Chief Operating Officer at Harness is an international authority on home services paid search marketing with over a decade of experience leading paid search teams and building home services paid search software. He loves this stuff, but at the moment there is more PPC to be managed than can be managed by him alone and he has been getting a lot of flack from his wife for cancelling date nights to do Google Ads optimizations. 

This creates a unique opportunity for the right candidate to join Harness at the right time. We are looking for someone who is ambitious and ready for their chance to channel that ambition into this role. You will be the first “official” team member of a Paid Search department for a company already established as a leading digital marketing agency in the home services space.

We DON’T want someone to come in and check boxes – we can build AI tools to do that. We DO want someone who is hungry to learn and collaborate to build a Paid Search department prepared to navigate the future of AI and automation.

Previous PPC experience can be an asset if paired with the humility to acknowledge that everything you know may be irrelevant in a year and constant learning is necessary.

Key Responsibilities

• Campaign Management: Develop and execute comprehensive paid search and social strategies, including keyword research, audience targeting, bidding strategies, and ad creative development.

• Platform Expertise: Manage campaigns across Google (Search, Display, Performance Max, Local Service Ads), Microsoft Ads, and Meta advertising platforms.

• Performance Optimization: Continuously analyze campaign data to optimize spend, reduce cost-per-lead, and improve return on ad spend (ROAS).

• Analytics and Reporting: Utilize Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, AgencyAnalytics, and other reporting tools to deliver insightful, actionable performance reports to clients and internal stakeholders.

• Collaboration: Work closely with content, design, and development teams to optimize landing pages (WordPress, Unbounce) and conversion funnels.

• Strategic Communication: Regularly present performance summaries, forecasts, and strategic recommendations clearly and effectively to clients and executive teams.

• Innovation: Identify and test new advertising tools, features, and automation scripts to enhance campaign performance and operational efficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

• Preference for candidates who can work in our Oklahoma City office, but open to remote for the right person.

• College degree or equivalent experience.

• Proven background in performance marketing, ideally within the home services industry.

• Expert knowledge of Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and Meta advertising platforms.

• Proficiency with Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, AgencyAnalytics, and conversion tracking methodologies.

• Experience utilizing CRMs such as ServiceTitan for revenue attribution and lead management.

• Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.

• Exceptional communication skills and comfort with client-facing strategic discussions.

• 3-5+ years of experience managing substantial digital advertising budgets ($250k+/month preferred).

• Experience with landing page optimization platforms such as Unbounce and CMS platforms like WordPress.

• Familiarity with call tracking and lead quality assessment tools (e.g., CallRail, ServiceTitan).

• Knowledge of automation scripting (JavaScript, Python) to enhance campaign performance.

Success Criteria (Within First 6 Months)

• Achieve measurable improvement in overall campaign ROI and reduced. cost-per-lead.

• Implement robust, transparent reporting systems adopted by all assigned clients.

• Successfully test and integrate at least two innovative campaign enhancements.

• Maintain impeccable budget oversight with zero unanticipated overruns or underspends.
